Paper Folding

Along with all the other crafts that I love, I also like paper folding.  This card I saw first I think either on You Tube or TV.  This is my version using some lovely Blonde Moments papers I pick up at AFTH in Harrogate, plus buttons and ribbon all co-ordinate well.

My Thursday Craft Group

Here are some of the bags my ladies made last week.   We used a template I found somewhere as I dont have the TH die for this type of bag, I think it works fairly well though.

Stampman - Summer Colours

Here is my entry for the Stampman Challenge - Summer Colours.   I use a combination the spring and summer distresssed inks splattered with water, stamped and lifted some of the colour and colour again with distressed inks.  The beautiful ribbon started life white but with a bit of Salty Ocean turned a beautiful shade of blue to match the card. I then background stamped in Squeezed Lemon. A couple of buttons and done. Hope you like.

AFTH Part 3

The final workshop was with Kaz this time we made a little bag using TH die, sprayed with Dylusions sprays and painted with them too, added some layers and stamping and the end result is below, sorry I did not get time to say goodbye to everybody, but had to dash for train, As it was raining, Ali ran me to the station in her car.  Thanks Ali.

AFTH Part 2

My next workshop was with the amazing Dyan, whom I met for the first time, have watched her on U Tube etc but she is so lovely. We did techiques with her including a bleaching effect without bleach and a shaddow effect.  Again I finished off at home as the workshops were for an hour so alot to pack in and lots of laughs too.  I did buy just one or two essential (hum!!) bits and the lovely Ali is sending on as it was a bit too much to carry on the train!!!!  Many thanks

Art from the Heart Part 1

I had a fab day last Saturday at Art from the Heart, although it did mean leaving home at 6.30 am and not getting back till 9pm it was a brill day. I managed to do some workshops.  Here is what I did.

Firstly with Sandy a little tag book, with Dylusions sprays, distressed inks etc etc. I finished it off at home and added ribbon and a special heart.

A Special Scrapbook

One of the things I have been busy on is making two scrapbooks both for presents, one for a birthday and this one for the lady who organised our trip to the Harrogate Flower Show.  We had a lovely weekend but boy did it rain, but whats new there.  l gave her the book last week and to say she was delighted was an understatement!!  I have found an economical way of making scrapbooks, this one is
8 x 8 but I am soon to try 12 x 12.  I start off with two pieces and mountboard, cut just larger than the paper protectors, cover with paper, punch holes in the sides with a crop a dile and trim, I think it works very well.

My little Friend

This little visitor has decided that my garden is his/her territory, the only time it goes missing is when I am looking after my daughters two dogs, watch out cat they are coming in a weeks time!!!

With Apologies

I am a very bad blogger, its been nearly two months since I posted. Only excuse is have been very busy. Not good enough really, so now I must make amends.

First one is a 90th Birthday Card I have been asked to make. Very pleased with the results, used Wendy Vecchi stamps, tattered flowers dies and Slice Machine for the letters.
